Let's Work Together to Create Productivity & Collaboration Tools

I am trying very hard to create a "Team Collaboration Site". A Secure Site which is available to Invited Team Members or optionally to Public to view and collaborate on ideas, projects, tasks, events, documents, notes, bookmarks, etc.



I've done a bit of research and found there are a lot of tools on the net. Some free and some cost. My goal is for viewers of this blog to collaborate to find the best tools available and to develop new tools as needed. I'm ready to spend some development costs to accomplish these goals as I'll be using many of them in business. I'd like to keep costs reasonable, however, and pay for the development of functions which are not currently available while incorporating what is already available.

In today's internet climate, the initial Team Collaboration tools should highly consider the many Open Source projects available and since collaboration is key, OpenSocial is important. I'd like for the finished project to be able to incorporate the API and the many widgets and gadgets that are now available for Google Gadgets and Netvibes.I can't say that I know much about the technical side of this, but I am trying to learn.

The goal of Team Collaboration as I see it, is to create a online or P2P hub where members can go to discuss and collaborate on ideas, projects, documents, tasks and share the many tools available to help each member achieve its goals and improve upon its original idea.
